Terraria vs Minecraft

Dear Journal....

Terraria or Minecraft? I've played both, although I've never played Terraria's single player, I always played with my bossy friend online. If you've never played either, then let me show you my Pro & Con list for both.

Terraria:
Pros
Unless you're underground, there's no getting lost since it's a 2D world.
2D World allows you to see both ahead and behind you.
Everything isn't a frickin box.
You can somewhat customize your look without going through the hassle of skins.
No matter what server or mode you're on, if you're using one character, you keep what ever is in your inventory.
When you die you don't lose all your hard earned items.
Higher fall distances without damage.
NPCs you can buy things from.
Actually has bosses.
No durability.
Cons
It is just a 2D world and you can only go left or right.
The graphics still aren't too great (Pixel people and enemies. Technically called Sprites).
When you do die, you lose a good chunk of your coins.
When it's dark, it's basically black.

Minecraft:

Pros
More directions than just left and right.
Can somewhat see even when it is dark.
You can have a pet wolf!
Cons
Not many types of enemies.
Everything is basically a box.
Lose all your inventory when you die.
Crappy graphics, I don't care if it's 3D.
Not many weapons or armors.
The only NPCs (more like AI since they aren't characters) are the enemies and the animals.
No bosses.
Things break to easily.

That's all I can think of for either at the moment, but basically even though I'm not in love or addicted to either, I'd prefer Terraria over Minecraft any day. Of course, I'd prefer Guild Wars over either of them. Course, it's likely I'd choose Guild Wars over anything (Except maybe Guild Wars 2). So what was I talking about? Oh yeah! Terraria and Minecraft. So if you like boxes, horrible graphics, dealing with items with extremely low durability and no challenging bosses to fight, then Minecraft is the game for you. Otherwise, if you're looking at the two, I'm going to say try out Terraria first.
